Southcliff Apartments
Despite significant winter weather, Southcliff made steady progress throughout the first quarter. Sanitary and storm systems were completed, and the main water lines were installed and prepared for flushing and testing once meters are in place. Building pads for Buildings 1–3 were also formed and are largely complete. Work in areas connected to the Hassler water line remains limited by wet conditions, but crews will finish the remaining pad preparation as the site dries out. These milestones position the project to move into the next phase of construction.
5604 Apartments
Construction at 5604 advanced across multiple buildings during the first quarter despite nearly two weeks of snow, extreme cold, and continued wet conditions. Building 2 progressed from framing into interior finishes, while Building 5 reached insulation and drywall and Buildings 6–8 continued through framing and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. Footers for the mail center were started, and coordination began for off-site sanitary sewer work and LG&E installation. Phase 1 site development is complete, and the project remains on track to begin pre-leasing in June. Strong coordination among the Highgates team, inspectors, and subcontractors helped maintain momentum throughout a challenging quarter.
The Reserves at Parklands
The Reserves at Parklands made meaningful progress across both phases during the first quarter. In Phase 1, blasting and sanitary sewer installation were completed, storm sewer work neared completion, and crews began installing water-quality systems. The entrance curbs and a portion of the roadway were completed, with the remaining roadwork dependent on coordination with Louisville Water, LG&E, and other agencies. Plans for the entry monument were finalized and approved by Pulte. Phase 2 also moved forward with erosion-control measures, clearing, and tree removal, although persistent wet conditions slowed portions of the sitework.
